THE PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
To know the citizen opinion about politics and society in the Cuauhtémoc Mayor's Office in Mexico City, at the time of the survey.
SAMPLING FRAME
List of electoral sections in the Cuauhtémoc Mayor's Office, taking the results of the federal election in 2018.
SAMPLE DESIGN
The 389 electoral sections in the study coverage area were systematically and randomly selected with probability proportional to their size (PPT), and in each section, 13 homes were selected, and in each home, a Mexican of legal age with a valid voting card was selected.
SAMPLE SIZE
5,057 citizens residing in the Cuauhtémoc Mayor's Office with voting credentials, which represents 1,056% of the nominal List in the Cuauhtémoc Mayor's Office.
POPULATION SUBJECT TO STUDY
Adult Mexican citizenship, over 18 years of age with voting credentials residing in private homes in the Cuauhtémoc Mayor's Office.
RESULTS ESTIMATION PROCEDURE
The results presented are traditional statistical models for estimating sampling proportions.
QUALITY OF THE GENERAL ESTIMATE
Although each percentage has its own associated error, the sample design guarantees that in the general estimates at least 95 out of 100 times, the error does not exceed ±4.9%.
In public opinion studies, in addition to sampling error, it must be considered that there may be other errors caused by the phrasing of the questions and incidents in the field work. These are known as “non-sampling errors.” Confidence and maximum implicit sampling error in the selected sample for each distribution of preferences or trends.
